In most cases, when a domain name is transferred, an additional year of registration is added to the expiration date.
For example, if a domain is set to expire on December 1, 2021 and it is successfully transferred to another registrar in October 2021, then a full year of registration is added to the start of the expiration date. This ensures that domains can be transferred in the middle of a registration year with no loss of registration time already paid for.
- Please note new domain registrations can not be transferred for 45 days without losing the time paid for.
- Expired domains can not be transferred.
- Expired domains which have been renewed, can not be transferred for 45 days. If transferred before 45 days, the time purchased will be lost.
